Job summary

Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Account Manager is responsible for the creation of long-term, trusting relationships with our customers. The Account Manager's role is to oversee a portfolio of assigned customers, develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities.

Account management responsibilities include developing strong relationships with customers, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders and preparing sales reports. Account Managers also answer client queries and identify new business opportunities among existing customers. In this role, you will liaise with cross-functional internal teams (including Engineering, Customer Service and Product Development departments) to improve the entire customer experience. Ultimately, a successful Account Manager should collaborate with our sales team to achieve quotas while keeping our clients satisfied and engaged with our products and services in the long-run.

The ideal candidate is knowledgeable of Opsun's marketplace and has international experience (mostly USA). Opsun is seeking to recruit an Account Manager with a solid track record of achieving aggressive sales objectives by deepening existing client relationships and by developing new ones. He/she is an articulate communicator who can interact at all levels of the organization and will be able to establish his/her credibility with senior executives in client organizations.

Candidate profile

Opsun seeks a result orientated Account Manager. The successful candidate has the ability to quickly develop strong relationships leading to new opportunities and increased revenus. He/She will possess an optimal combination of the following:

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters
  •  Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas
  • Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
  • Prepare reports on account status
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
  • He/she is an achiever with a track record of having successfully structured and delivered to customers, complex enterprise services with a diverse suite of solutions and products
  • Business acumen and influencing ability will be important in establishing credibility across the organization, locally and internationally. The ideal candidate is a dynamic, confident, driven and articulate leader who interacts effectively at all levels of the organization, with an ability to forge high trust relationships. He/she will be skilled at communicating in a compelling and direct fashion;

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager or relevant role (2 to 5 years experience)
    Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Solid experience with CRM software
  • Technical Knowledge (Engineering Background) is not mandatory, but could facilitate the integration of the candidate to the job opportunity
  • This position may require occasional travel.

Salary

Competitive compensation package including fixed and variable portion.
