Job summary

Opsun is looking for a dynamic person with interpersonal skills to aggressively increase its volume of business mainly in the Northeastern United States and California.

Inside Sales Specialist responsibilities include developing strong relationships with customers, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders and preparing sales reports. Inside Sales Specialist also answers client queries and identify new business opportunities among existing customers. In this role, you will liaise with cross-functional internal teams (including Engineering, Customer Service and Product Development departments) to improve the entire customer experience. Ultimately, a successful Inside Sales Specialist should collaborate with our sales team to achieve quotas while keeping our clients satisfied and engaged with our products and services in the long-run.

Candidate profile

The Inside Salesperson will primarily be responsible for responding to customer inquiries via the website and sales email addresses, contacting past customers to seek to close sales, and contacting potential customers.

More specifically, the internal salesperson must:

  • Respond to telephone inquiries (almost exclusively in English);
  • Process the leads received (Web, trade-shows, advertising, etc.)
  • Collect, analyze and understand customer needs
  • Qualify prospects and follow up on their request
  • Develop bids and commercial proposals in collaboration with the design teams
  • Follow up on proposals submitted to clients
  • Negotiate and close sales
  • Make contracts with clients and negotiate terms
  • Maintain the sales forecast up to date and help plan production accordingly
  • Answer technical questions from customers;
  • Follow up on active files to ensure that customer requests have been taken into account
  • Ensure customer satisfaction;
  • Relay information to the design and engineering teams when the client brings new information or requests for a project (be the first point of contact).
  • Support the Sales Team in the sales and marketing strategy;

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as an Inside Sales Specialist or relevant role (2 to 3 years experience)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  •  Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
  •  Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
  •  Solid experience with CRM software
  • This position may require occasional travel.

Salary

Competitive compensation package including fixed and variable portion.
